Sexual Counselling

Sexual problems are any impediment to derive pleasure in sexual activity. The problems can be at any stage of the sexual cycle from a desire to orgasm. Problems usually include lack of sexual interest or desire, problems with erection or arousal, and rapid or delayed/absent orgasm. Sexual problems can be caused by multiple factors: psychological, medical, partner and relationship, sociocultural, and lifestyle.

Aim of the counselling

Identification of psychological factors contributing to sexual problems and training to deal with them.

Objectives of counselling

1. Assessment of sexual problem
2. Identification of problems contributing to it
3. Training to deal with psychological factors contributing to a sexual problem.
4. Guidance for scientifically proven treatment if other factors are involved.

Sessions

It usually needs 2-5 sessions but may vary as per the extent of the problem and personality of the client.
