Sexual problems are any impediment to derive pleasure in sexual activity. The problems can be at any stage of sexual cycle from desire to orgasm. Problems usually include: lack of sexual interest or desire, problems with erection or arousal and rapid or delayed/absent orgasm. Sexual problems can be caused by multiple factors: psychological, medical, partner and relationship, sociocultural and lifestyle.

Aim of the counselling

Identification of psychological factors contributing into sexual problems and training to deal with them.

Objectives of counselling

1. Assessment of sexual problem
2. Identification of problems contributing into it
3. Training to deal with psychological factors contributing into sexual problem.
4. Guidance for scientifically proven treatment if other factors are involved.

Sessions

It usually needs 2-5 sessions but may vary as per the extent of problem and personality of client.
